If your project is residential, commercial, public works or on an Indian reservation, small or large, Sampo Engineering will provide all of your surveying, civil engineering, mapping and planning needs from project start to finish. We carry California State licenses in civil engineering and land surveying and have established excellent working relationships with municipalities and utility districts throughout Southern California.

Sampo Engineering uses the latest in technology with Civil 3D software by Autodesk to generate engineering drawings and survey maps. For field surveys, depending on our needs, the Spectra Precision Epoch 50 GPS unit, Leica 1200 Robotic Total Station, or Sokkia Set 3 Total Station with data collection capabilities will be used. Our GPS and robotic systems have the capability to run a one person survey crew for most surveys and all of our data collectors interface with Civil 3D software to minimize error and decrease office time resulting in cost savings to our clients. The robotic total station has the capability of using a laser to obtain survey coordinates and elevations without the use of a prism where accessibility is not possible.

Sampo Engineering is certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) with the State of California Department of General Services and with the California Department of Transportation as a DBE.

We are also certified with the United States Department of the Interior Small Business Administration as a qualified civil engineering and surveying 8(a) firm. We are a member of the SANDAG Bench and the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP). We are certified with the City of San Diego as an ELBE.
